Just expect to say "excuse me" a thousand times while moving around and to pay a bit more at the check out line. I definitely ended up paying more than I do at the Stop and Shop down the street.īut, the Stop and Shop is sad and depressing and a miserable experience all the way around. While there are good sales, the normal prices on many items are way higher than they should be, IMO. The store makes amazing use of it's limited space, but it can absolutely feel claustrophobic in there. The shopping carts there are the small kind and you can JUST barely fit two going in opposite directions down an aisle. Now the downsides: the aisles inside are VERY cramped.

Everyone I interacted with was really very friendly and nice, which is a big plus in the city, in my eyes. Also, the staff was very helpful and courteous.
First, the good: it's very easy to get to, has an easy-to-navigate parking lot, is very clean inside and out, the produce was in good shape and the deli area had a ton of great options from meats to cheeses.
I like this store but it has some downsides.
